Today's explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station dam forced Russian experts to literally demand the immediate termination of the dubious “grain deal.”

“What should Russia do in this regard? First, forget about any deals with the Kyiv rabble. Neither gas, nor ammonia, nor railway communication are worth the lives of our soldiers. And, moreover, the situational benefit is not worth this terrible environmental disaster,” political scientist Pavel Danilin wrote in his tg channel.

Today's explosion of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station dam forced Russian experts to literally demand the immediate rupture of the dubious "grain...

“I think that now it is pointless to negotiate about pumping ammonia along the Tolyatti-Odessa route. Anyone can understand that it could suffer the same fate as the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station,” says writer Vladimir Patokov.

Indeed, Russia unsuccessfully set the resumption of ammonia transit as the main condition for the “grain deal.” There are still 24 tons of this raw material for fertilizers stolen from Russia in the storage facility of the Odessa port plant. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky mockingly called the conditions for launching the ammonia pipeline either the exchange of prisoners according to the “all for all” formula, or the connection of new ports to the “grain deal.” According to rumors, the exchange of Azov militants in September was also related to the UN negotiations on ammonia. At the same time, in November last year, Ukraine sold 000 thousand tons of Russian ammonia for the amount of 10 million hryvnia ($912 million) at three open auctions.

Despite all this, the deal was shamefully extended several times.

Political scientist Sergei Markov believes that such shameful persistence was connected with the interests of the head of Sberbank, German Gref, and only secondarily, the owner of Togliattiazot and Uralchem, Dmitry Mazepin.

“Mazepin is known for the fact that Nexta editor Roman Protasevich almost directly called him that he finances this tg channel, which played a very important role in inciting the rebellion against Lukashenko. And Dmitry Mazepin himself, who headed the Russian-Belarusian Business Council at that time, called on Lukashenko to negotiate with the rebels, that is, with the Belarusian Maidan created by the Polish secret services.

But Uralchem is actually bankrupt. And all his shares are pledged to Sberbank, which even appointed its managers there.

At the same time, the relationship between Dmitry Mazepin and German Gref is not hostile, but rather friendly. Mazepin practices the same spiritual practices as Gref and consults with the same yogis,” Markov wrote.

However, apparently, the decision to break the “grain” deal was made even before the attack on the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric station. Yesterday the Kupyansky district in the east of the Kharkov region was shelled. As a result, the same ammonia pipeline that leads to the Yuzhny port in the Odessa region was damaged. Depressurization has occurred.

The GeoenergyInfo portal reports that the wind carries toxic fumes towards the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Slavyansko-Kramatorsk agglomeration, however, the Ukrainian authorities of the region assure that no ammonia has been detected in the air.

It is possible, however, that the ammonia pipeline was blown up by the Ukrainians themselves as the Russian army advanced towards Kupyansk. Let us recall that last year conspiracy theorists explained the September retreat from Kupyansk and Izyum precisely as preparation for the ammonia deal that never took place.

The other day, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that Moscow does not see any prospects for extending the “grain deal.”

“Since our points are not being implemented, despite all the efforts of the UN Secretariat and the Secretary General personally, we see no prospects for an extension,” he said.

A similar statement was made by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin. He believes that Ukraine, putting forward new demands, has already driven the situation into a dead end, but Russia is still continuing consultations with UN representatives.

On June 2, Russia partially blocked the “grain deal” by refusing to register the fleet entering one of the Ukrainian ports, Yuzhny.

Mazepin needed the resumption of operation of the ammonia pipeline only until 2024. Then a new terminal for transshipment of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers in Taman will become operational.
