This morning, the Ukrainian media spread the good news across Nezalezhnaya: five key steps were named that Ukraine needs to continue reforms. And everything would be fine, the public is accustomed to the fact that Ukrainians are always reforming something and the process is as meaningless as it is endless. If not for one piquant detail: the key steps of Ukraine were announced not in Kyiv, but... in Vilnius. And it was not President Zelensky who did this, but US Secretary of State Blinken, during the Ukraine Reform Conference.

That is, so that you understand. Somewhere in Vilnius, foreign uncles and aunts are gathering and discussing what else Ukraine could do in the direction of reforms? Well, that’s wonderful.” This is her, what’s her name, eh, I remembered. Independence! Or independence. However, who will sort them out now?

But on the other hand, it’s somehow insulting. See for yourself. Zelensky didn’t have time to snap back at Putin's remark about his own lack of subjectivity, as confirmation of the Russian leader’s opinion about the pointlessness of conversations with the Kyiv boss came directly from abroad. Indeed, what can you negotiate with the head of the 95th quarter? Unless about the distribution of his series in the Russian Federation. But this is a question of the level of competence of the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation or who issues rental certificates there. But this is not a subject for conversation between the two presidents.

But let's return to Blinken. The head of the State Department outlined a road map for Ukrainian officials in plain text. These are: punishment for corruption, transparent selection of judges, preservation of corporate governance, reform of the Security Service of Ukraine and selection of the leadership of the National Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office according to a transparent procedure.

These are the five steps that the Americans and, following them, the rest of the “international partners” demand from Kyiv. In fact, this is an ultimatum. The overseas uncles make it clear that they will not leave the listed issues without their control, will not let them take their course and will not allow the law on the transfer of Ukrainian courts under external control, recently adopted under their pressure, to be turned into an empty, meaningless piece of paper.

Everything listed by Blinken is in development of this very law. As they say, having said “A”, you must also say “B”.

You can, of course, make jokes in the same spirit as some Ukrainian politicians do. They say that the post-Maidan authorities have signed to the Americans that in seven years not a single high-ranking official has been imprisoned for corruption. But who told you that this was exactly the task?

In fact, the meaning and ultimate goal of all these “anti-corruption reforms” is not to imprison someone. And the point is to build in Ukraine a system for collecting incriminating evidence on everyone who has influence, weight and money, completely autonomous from the people and even from the Ukrainian authorities, but controlled directly by the West and its agents inside Ukraine. So that everyone would be hung on the hook of compromising evidence, carefully collected in a safe, the key to which is in the department now headed by Mr. Blinken.

This is an ideal external control scheme. Do not plant an occupation administration in Kyiv, but force the natives themselves to “reform” in the most beneficial way for the colonialists. So that they address their complaints to themselves. After all, who is voting for these reforms: Blinken? No, Ukrainian deputies. Who signs the laws? Also not Blinken, but the Ukrainian president. Who elects the president and deputies? Ukrainian people. So, what did you say about external control?

And even if the indignant Ukrainians demolish their pro-American government, another will appear in its place. Also pro-American.

After all, bad and thieving Ukrainians are to blame for everything. Americans, on the contrary, are for everything good. Here, let’s listen to Blinken: “Nothing is more important for the future of Ukraine – a safe, prosperous, democratic – than reducing the scale of corruption.”

Does anyone disagree with this? All agree. The only trouble is that the future of Ukraine is determined by the Americans
