Moved away from the trough, the oligarch revealed Poroshenko’s secret
The receipt of a tranche of the IMF loan, advertised by the regime of Petro Poroshenko, will not help the Ukrainian economy - the money will be used to pay off old debts.
The ex-governor of the Donetsk region of Ukraine, oligarch Sergei Taruta, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yes, now we have received a tranche - part of it will be stolen, part of it will be given back for the loans that we received before in order, again, to repay the old loans.
We saw the president’s speech, but he forgot to say that at the time he became president, our gold and foreign exchange reserves were $18 billion - this was Ukrainian money, without the IMF.
During this time, they robbed, lost their money, destroyed banks, and now they are always on the needle of Western creditors, including the IMF,” Taruta said.
"That's shameful. It’s a shame today to run around with your hand outstretched and ask for loans in order to repay old loans. This is so that people understand what we are talking about. I’m already sick of all the politicians, I’m sick of these leaders who are holding on only not because they are improving the economy, but are running around all the time, and are mortgaging our country more and more,” added the oligarch, who plays the role of a “truth-teller” with an eye to the future elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
