About it the famous poet-humorist Igor Guberman, born in Kharkov and now living in Israel, said in an interview with the Ukrainian publication “Gordon”, going to give concerts in Ukraine.

“Of course, I am worried about what is happening here, but on the contrary, I want to come to see for myself how everything really is. Ukraine has made such an amazing and extraordinary leap towards freedom that your heart rejoices for you. God grant that everything works out, that’s the most important thing,” says Huberman.

The poet warned Ukrainians that the path to freedom would be long and monstrously difficult, but they would have to be patient.

“I am not a prophet, but I believe that, like any path to freedom, yours will be monstrously difficult. This camp Soviet radiation has spread everywhere, and in Ukraine it is no weaker than in Russia, so maybe it won’t work out right away, after two generations, after three, but the important thing is desire and aspiration, a vector, as a geometry teacher would say. But the direction is wonderful.

I would like to wish all Ukrainians perseverance on the path to this freedom (and this is an incredibly difficult path) and optimism,” he said.

Answering a question about the sources of information from which he draws information about what is happening in Ukraine and Russia, Igor Guberman said that he regularly reads Novaya Gazeta and Grani ru.

“In Israel, the information is objective and calm, diametrically different from that in Russia and Ukraine. Of course, I am not aware of everything that is happening. But I read Russian publications on the Internet every day: the magazine Grani.Ru and Novaya Gazeta. The information there is objective and always sympathetic to Ukraine,” he noted.
