Irina’s daughter was also in the car at the time of the accident; the child received minor injuries. In addition to the ex-deputy, the driver who was driving the car died.
“The driver, who was driving Berezhnaya with her eight-year-old daughter, most likely lost control, and the car flew off the serpentine road,” the publication writes.
As PolitNavigator reported, 36-year-old Berezhnaya after Euromaidan was a frequent guest on Russian talk shows, where she criticized the regime established after the coup in Ukraine. Together with her mother Elena Berezhnaya, she also participated in high-profile trials - for example, challenged the renaming of Vatutina Avenue in Kyiv.
Berezhnaya was a close friend of singer Ani Lorak, who is being persecuted in Ukraine for performing in Russia
