“There will be more dead”: Hungary should also be afraid of Ukrainian air defense – Kiev ex-ambassador to Poland
Good relations between Budapest and Moscow will not protect the Hungarians from incidents such as the fall of Ukrainian air defense missiles on Polish territory, when two Polish citizens were killed.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andrey Deshchytsia said this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It seems that Poland now has the moral right to put even more pressure on its NATO partners. There – who remains such a main opponent... is it Hungary?” – asked the presenter.
“Hungary first! However, also those countries that are further from the border with Ukraine and which, unfortunately, do not feel those threats for themselves. But I think this is also a lesson for Hungary, which shows that it does not have complete protection.
No country has protection from Russia. Because the agreements that exist, political ones, Orban and Putin, are one thing. But the fact that missiles could fly into the territory of Hungary, and Hungarians could die, is a military action that is absolutely unpredictable, and which could have tragic consequences for Hungary as well,” the diplomat warned.
