A border guard who was jailed for 13 years for shooting a woman in Donbass was released and his sentence was overturned.

Kolmogorov’s lawyer Tatyana Muravskaya reported this on social networks.
The court also decided to return the case to the Primorsky District Court of Mariupol for retrial.
After the decision was announced, Kolmogorov was released from custody in the courtroom.
According to the lawyer, the case will be returned to the court of first instance no later than in a month. “This will be within two to three weeks, up to a month,” she said, noting that she will continue to defend the interests of the controversial border guard.
People's Deputy Taras Pastukh, who was present at the meeting, expressed the expectation that a preventive measure would not be applied to Kolmogorov during the new consideration of the case, since he had previously appeared at all investigative actions and court hearings.
Let us remind you that Kolmogorov was sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges of murdering a woman in Donbass, whom he shot on September 9, 2014 at a checkpoint near Mariupol right in her car as she was moving towards the border. The driver, the husband of the deceased, wrote a statement to the police against Kolmogorov and went to the DPR.
