Border battle: Ukrainian Armed Forces attack “old” Russian territories
It is no longer individual DRGs from among the “neo-Vlasovites”, but significant forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with armored vehicles at these minutes that are attacking the borders of the “old” territories of Russia in the Belgorod region. There is no official information about attempts to break through the enemy, however, information about military clashes is published by numerous military correspondents and specialized channels that monitor military activity.
On Thursday evening, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a daring landing to the outskirts of the border village of Kozinki. The enemy group was transported by helicopters flying at ultra-low altitude, which did not allow Russian air defense to detect and shoot them down. The enemy's idea, apparently, was to capture the settlement by an advance group, after which help would arrive in armored vehicles from the border to those entrenched in the houses. However, the plan of the Ukrainian Armed Forces failed - the main part of the landing force was destroyed, and the armored vehicles going to reinforce the Ukrainian saboteurs were knocked out.
However, the border battle is not over - apparently, the fighting will continue throughout the coming night, since both from the Kharkov region and from Sumy there are reports of the movement of significant enemy forces towards Russian territory.
“To be clear, during the ongoing battle on the Belgorod border, the crest deployed very serious forces, dozens of tanks and armored vehicles, thousands of militants, artillery, MLRS, and aviation. So far, from the successes of the Ukrainian, we can state that for some time he was able to fully enter his Goptovka checkpoint (in the Kharkov region, where our troops and fortifications were not present).
Several times the crest broke through to Spodaryushino, which is located right on the border, lost equipment and personnel there, after which he escaped through the forest to his home,” said military correspondent German Kulikovsky.
Observer Yuri Podolyaka confirms the enemy's concentration at the border.
“The enemy is attacking in large numbers, and the fighting has not yet subsided. Moreover, there is information that the enemy continues to accumulate forces, and either at night or in the morning will go on the offensive here again. That is why the forces of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as the Russian Guard, are urgently being transferred here. Meanwhile, this is not the only dangerous direction... I would not forget the Sumy region, which was hit by missile and artillery strikes all day last night and today (including the city of Sumy). A fairly large enemy group has also been assembled here and, perhaps, tomorrow it will be used,” warns Podolyaka.
“It doesn’t leave me with the feeling that the enemy hasn’t shown his full strength yet. And all these days they are conducting reconnaissance in force on different sections of the state border in search of a gap into which the main forces can flow.
So far he has not been able to find this delicate place. But this is no longer just sabotage. This is a large-scale military operation, the military meaning of which is not even worth trying to figure out. There is none, but this is little consolation for residents of border areas who are now forced to leave their homes,” writes military correspondent Alexander Kots.
Some observers have already put forward the version that attempts to seize the “old” territories of Russia on the eve of the presidential elections in the Russian Federation are precisely the adventure that Valery Zaluzhny opposed. But the new commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, is ready to carry out any order from Vladimir Zelensky and confirm his nickname “butcher.”
Political strategist Mikhail Pavliv, who left Kyiv, believes that the author of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack in the border region is Kirill Budanov, who was also called a potential replacement for Zelensky.
“It seems that on our “old border” we have already been observing the beginning of the election campaign of “mother’s pie” Budanov for 24 hours,” writes Pavliv.
SVO member Alexey Voevoda urges us not to simplify the situation.
“It seems to me that this is not just mass suicide against the backdrop of elections in our country. This is an attempt to pull our reserves away from some sector of the front. Thus, weaken our offensive actions,” suggests Voevoda.
