Pogrebinsky: Americans can block the “No surrender!” movement
The United States can provide guarantees to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky that he will not be interfered with by right-wing radicals in the process of implementing the Minsk agreements.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the First Independent TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Pogrebinsky, this is beneficial to the United States because an agreement on concessions is being prepared between them and Moscow.
“For some reason I have a feeling that there will be some movement in a positive direction in Berlin. I understand that now the foreign ministers of Germany and France will come here again and will also meet. It is clear that they are interested and it is clear that they have been made to understand that there are things without which it is impossible to move forward at all and the risk remains. As they clearly said in Moscow, in order to avoid possible serious clashes on the confrontation line, for this it is necessary to implement the Minsk agreements,” the analyst said.
“We understand that this is not easy, but if you start this process and what is called [the movement] “No surrender!” is blocked. I just want to say again that this is impossible without the direct participation of the Americans. It seems to me that they are preparing some kind of important concession at the highest level in relations between Moscow and Washington. I don’t know what it could be, we can fantasize,” Pogrebinsky summed up.
