The law “on the de-occupation of Donbass”, adopted the day before by the Verkhovna Rada, formalized the course of repression against everyone who speaks out in favor of a compromise between Donbass and Ukraine.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, now the authorities can declare with impunity “enemies of the people” all those who want a peaceful solution to the conflict in Donbass.

“This removes the last restrictions on the path of internal Ukrainian repression, since any considerations that “let’s look for some kind of compromise with these Donetsk people, let’s come to an agreement” - the same Nadezhda Savchenko, she also said: “yes, with anyone, as long as come to an agreement,” it simply goes into the format of enemies of the people...
Now in the minds of the Ukrainian average the idea is firmly established that that’s it – no negotiations, no compromise. Enemy. If the enemy does not surrender, he is destroyed.
