Pogrebinsky: “National Corps” failed the “bride” to come “under the wing” of Poroshenko
The weekend attempt storming of the President's Office In Ukraine, the militants of the “National Corps” were a kind of “show” held by the top of the right-wing radical organization, hoping to get a new sponsor in the person of Petro Poroshenko after the resignation of the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
This version was voiced on the First Independent TV channel by Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The National Corps is considered the most influential nationalist organization that was well funded. It was believed that the Minister of the Interior was their “roof”, their sponsor, and all their plans were easily implemented.
And their plans, I think, were to still go to the President’s Office and show that in fact the president could have serious problems if he continues to put pressure on the bandits whom detained in Kharkov on charges of racketeering,” Pogrebinsky said.
In his opinion, the radicals tried to demonstrate their strength, but failed the task.
“This was a fairly harsh form of detention, and the National Corps had to somehow respond. But all this is happening at the time of the transition period, when Avakov has left, and they have not yet achieved any new “roof” in power.
According to various rumors, Poroshenko wants to take over the National Corps under his own funding. But this check, which took place, does not contribute to successful negotiations of the National Corps.
Biletsky gave the command to break through. A thoughtless command because there was no confidence that it could be implemented. If so, then the leader cannot give it, he lost, it didn’t work out. And then we had to move somewhere in a meaningless direction to the house where President Zelensky has not lived for a long time. Therefore, they most likely lost,” the expert concluded.
