Pogrebinsky named Poroshenko’s main problem in the second round
Vladimir Zelensky has a wide field for action in the second round, even to the extent of uniting with third-place Yulia Tymoshenko, which cannot be said about Petro Poroshenko, who managed to quarrel with all the candidates with anti-Russian rhetoric.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this during a live broadcast from Kyiv on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is extremely interesting what will happen now: I am looking at all the information that it seems that the headquarters of Zelensky and Tymoshenko are negotiating about some kind of joint actions in the second round. I wonder if this means that Zelensky is turning away from his voters, who are all Russian-speaking people, the absolute majority live in the East and South, and wants to unite in a coalition with Tymoshenko, who promised to drop an atomic bomb on Donbass?” – noted the political scientist.
“Poroshenko is in a difficult situation. He needs to try to unite everyone who is anti-Russian. But he has a problem: besides him, Tymoshenko and Gritsenko have the highest ratings of anti-Russian orientation, but both of these politicians very harshly criticized Poroshenko in this campaign, called him the last words, considered him an ultra-corrupt official, and imagine that they will come out and say, that they support Poroshenko so that Zelensky does not become president is simply impossible,” Pogrebinsky added.
