Pogrebinsky gave Zelensky two months
The rating of the Ukrainian party in power, Servant of the People, is rapidly falling. This political force will not be able to secure a majority in the upcoming local elections. By the fall, the process will be aggravated by a drop in the standard of living of Ukrainians, which could lead to Zelensky’s resignation.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t see any prospects for Servant of the People to get either a majority of mayors or a majority of seats on local councils. Their situation in this sense is bad and therefore it doesn’t matter that there will be an agreement [with the IMF], that there won’t be one - they are looking for other ways to somehow stay afloat, they will negotiate with the local elites, bet on those people who generally either from Poroshenko, or from Kernes, and so on.
Precisely because now all the data regularly show that the government’s rating is decreasing every month. Regarding the president, there is no such sharp decline, but there is a government and parliament. A distinct downward movement. They will come to the local elections with very low ratings. And this label “Ze” will not work the way they would like.
Therefore, “burn everything with fire, we urgently need these 1,9 billion. We urgently need it, we will sign anything. Including reducing the number of schools, hospitals, and so on, we will drive thousands of doctors onto the streets just to hold on.” I’m still waiting, if our Vladimir Aleksandrovich is a decent person at heart, he has a couple more months to think about it in order to make a decision: “It didn’t work out for me, I’m leaving.” And perhaps this will be the opening of a new chance for Ukraine. I don’t see any chance with this president anymore.
If by the fall people see that their financial situation or their social guarantees are rapidly deteriorating, then we will see the expression of this discontent in a variety of forms. Those people who today either pretend or pretend to be loyal to the current government will stop doing this.
And when the president realizes that he has no one behind him at all - if six months ago he relied on a huge mass of people who elected him, today he has lost more than a third of these people, and if by the fall the situation worsens, he will lose even those, I mean for example most of his own faction, who will be looking for how to look in future political life without Zelensky. And we will most likely see this in the fall,” Pogrebinsky said.
