Pogrebinsky resorted to anti-Russian arguments in the fight against Ukrainization
The Ukrainian government should not limit the rights of the Russian-speaking population, citing difficult relations with Russia.
Russian-speaking citizens are also Ukrainian nationalists, and participated in the ATO on the side of Ukrainian troops, and therefore have equal rights with the Ukrainian-speaking population.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When we move from the topic of the rights of citizens speaking and thinking Russian in Ukraine to the topic of Ukrainian-Russian relations, I am categorically against it.
People who speak Russian fight against the unrecognized republics, people who speak Russian act as anti-Semites or, conversely, defenders.
A variety of people are all citizens of our country. What does Kyiv-Moscow international politics have to do with this? None. The rights of these people must be protected in any case,” Pogrebinsky said.
Let us note that anti-Russian “Independence” politicians resort to similar arguments. In particular, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov stated that he is a Russian-speaking Ukrainian nationalist who hates Russians and Russia.
