Pogrebinsky predicts Poroshenko's political death
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko risks losing the election to any candidate who goes with him to the second round of the upcoming elections.
The director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, spoke about this on the TV Center channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, in addition to the main competitor Yulia Tymoshenko, ex-regional Yuri Boyko and even comedian Vladimir Zelensky can overtake the president.
“The latest polls conducted by three centers showed that no matter who makes it to the second round of elections, Poroshenko loses to everyone, including Yuriy Boyko. And Zelensky, of course, wins. If it passes, then it will be exactly what you want - Ukraine with a comedian president,” the expert concluded.
At the same time, Pogrebinsky noted that there are simply no candidates who were not at all involved in oligarchic groups and the old government.
It is worth noting that it is currently unknown whether the presidential elections will be held in March, since today the Verkhovna Rada at an emergency meeting is to consider the decision to introduce martial law, which President Poroshenko called for and during which elections are not held.
Earlier, PolitNavigator cited the statement of the fugitive Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky that the current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will take an “honorable” sixth place in the upcoming elections head of state.
