This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, who noted that in Ukraine they began to present Vladimir Putin’s alleged consent to the OSCE armed mission as an achievement.
“I think if I were Putin, I would also agree, because this is physically impossible to implement. The OSCE Charter does not envisage anything like this. That is, it is necessary to change the charter and allocate a lot of money for implementation. And we need consensus in the OSCE. Russia, for example, may say “yes”, but someone else may say “against”. How will the OSCE be able to control 450 kilometers of the border? You can launch drones and all that, but again you need a lot of money and significantly increase staff. Everything is so unreal that this is all empty talk. You can agree a thousand times, but nothing will happen. I think Poroshenko and even Klimkin understand this,” Pogrebinsky said.
