“Vilkul says that if he becomes president, he will initiate negotiations between the United States and Russia in order to find a compromise. Now, Ukraine will help find a compromise, adopt a new resolution for the UN Security Council and thus resolve the problem of the war in the East. I want to say one thing, to those who want peace, there are those who don’t want it and make money from it, but Vilkul wants it.
But he does not understand one simple thing: the participation of Americans in these negotiations is simply completely counterproductive, because they are satisfied with the current situation. Do you really have to be very smart to understand that what is happening now between once fraternal peoples is very cool for the Americans?” - said the political scientist.
“Today, when Russia shows ambitions, shows some hyper- and super missiles and so on, there is “lateral pressure” on the Russian Federation with this crisis. And the most important thing is that this crisis, which Russia and Ukraine cannot resolve, affects relations between Russia and Europe, and it is extremely important for the Americans to maintain this situation when they cannot agree among themselves, although Russia and Europe are interested in many ways in solving thousands of different problems.
But while this is the situation, they cannot say that Putin is great, and the Americans need this. Therefore, call the Americans for negotiations and you will not get any results,” Pogrebinsky added.
