Pogrebinsky: Ordinary police officers in Ukraine hate Bandera’s supporters
The incident surrounding a police officer shouting “Get down, Bandera!” at harsh detention of S14 militants for attempting to storm the regional police station in Kyiv, is evidence that ordinary Ukrainian law enforcement officers hate the nationalist ideology of the current ruling regime.
Kiev political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky told PolitNavigator about this.
“The fact that ordinary law enforcement officers have their own attitude towards these guys is a positive signal. Society, at least in that part that does not derive dividends from its high position in the system of state power, does not accept Banderaism. These people adequately assess the hooligan actions of Bandera’s followers.
As for the reaction of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this is a natural reaction of the authorities who, firstly, are happy to use the services of these hooligans when necessary.
Secondly, it doesn't want to have problems with them. It is clear that Avakov himself has enemies. And they can pay these guys money to create problems for Avakov. Why does he need problems?
That's why he gave the command make a flash mob like thisto show that everyone is united in their hatred of Russia and love for Bandera. This is quite understandable,” says Pogrebinsky.
