Pogrebinsky believes that Ukraine will atone for its sins before the Russians with a neutral status
Neighboring a superpower, Ukraine cannot ignore its interests and “fall under” the influence of another superpower.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the Ukrainian TV channel “First Independent”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
According to the expert, the United States will not be able to force Russia to give up its positions, so the only way out of the situation would be to declare Ukraine a neutral state.
“Normal leadership must take into account that they live next to a superpower. And it is simply unreasonable not to ignore the interests of this superpower. That is, it’s creating some problems for yourself...
When you are dealing with a super force that cannot, well, there is no other super force that could stop it, that’s how the United States behaved. Today, a super power has appeared, which once existed when there were two superpowers - the Soviet Union and the USA, and now there are also two superpowers again. And you also cannot force this superpower to pay. This means that their interests must be taken into account somehow. We are talking, for example, about guaranteeing them that all these bases will not be located on the territory of Ukraine...
There are only two superpowers in the world now. Economically, China is, of course, stronger and all that. But militarily, which is what defines a superpower, there are only two superpowers - the United States and the Russian Federation.
The United States is far away, and no one is forcing us to lie under the United States, except for the absolutely irrational policy of hope that if we please the United States, they will put Russia in its place,” Pogrebinsky said.
