Pogrebinsky: Zelensky’s fear pushes Donbass away from Ukraine
If Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky continues to fear and succumb to Nazi pressure, as happened in the story with the teleconference, then the Minsk process will be buried, after which Donbass can be safely forgotten.
Ukrainian political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So far Zelensky is demonstrating weakness when radicals attack him. So, our main super-nationalist and patriot Biletsky came out and said: “here’s 24 hours for you, president, to cancel the teleconference, if you don’t cancel it, we’ll decide for ourselves.”
And what did Zelensky say? He should have said: “What are you doing, guys? There is actually some kind of law, power, and so on” - not a word about it! And he actually canceled this teleconference, forced it to be cancelled, because the people at NewsOne realized that no one would protect them if the president showed that it was somehow bad that you came up with it.
And not a word about what’s bad - these are threats against journalists, the owners of the channel, and in general, what’s your business to meddle in what a private company is doing? Where is the violation of the law here?
This nuance suggests that if they continue to be afraid and give in to the pressure of the radicals, then the Minsk process will be buried. What especially saddens me is that this will actually mean giving up Donbass.
In order for this not to happen, the government needs to show that it can enforce the laws, the rule of law, and no one can stop it,” Pogrebinsky said.
