Pogrebinsky accused Poroshenko of fake nationalism
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wants to use the image of a nationalist in order to gain as much power as possible and monetize it.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, Poroshenko and a large number of members of his political force are only using the screen of nationalists, without actually being one.
“In fact, the nationalist activists are really gathering around Poroshenko. There are, however, two categories of people there. There are consistent sincere national radicals - such as Parubiy, for example. But there are also careerists there - people like Goncharenko and others, I won’t name them, especially women who offend not because they think so, but because this is their comfortable political field, where they receive a good salary, and are not the first to be deputies once.
Well, what the hell is Poroshenko, a nationalist, listen. He is no nationalist. And the point is not that he is Ukrainian, someone says that he is a Jew in general - this is not true, he is not a Jew, he is Ukrainian, but not a nationalist at all. His job, his business, is to earn money and use all the opportunities in different positions, and this can best be done as president, which is what he did. And many simply participate there,” Pogrebinsky said.
