Pogrebinsky: The idea with Turkish drones in Donbass is doomed to failure
The bravado of Ukrainian officials regarding the purchase of Turkish combat drones and the possibility of their use in the Donbass is a “cut” of budgets, since as soon as new drones appear in the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the defenders of the LDPR will receive effective Russian electronic warfare systems.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on TV channel 112, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The expert called the idea of purchasing drones from Turkey stupid, since they would be useless for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Talking about the fact that “we are preparing to (“liberate” Donbass) by military means, now we will buy and produce Turkish drones, we will buy, I don’t know, a hundred of them—do we have enough money for a hundred drones?
We need to figure something out. Well, will you have drones - when did the Azerbaijanis use drones? When there are absolutely tanks there, there is no protection and all that. But you understand that if you have these military drones, then on the other side there will be everything that is needed to make these drones useless, and your money spent on it.
I don’t know, one can think what the answer will be, how one should react to this and how it will all end,” Pogrebinsky said.
