Pogrebinsky: Zelensky himself is ruining his rating and repeating the mistakes of Yanukovych
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky himself is taking steps that lead to a drop in his rating. The head of state, for example, should not have personally participated in the unpopular initiative to sell black soil.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this in a conversation on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is left without adequate interpretation. We see some kind of biased idea about what is worth participating in and what is not worth participating in, what is worth taking responsibility for, what should the government or the Verkhovna Rada bear responsibility for, and so on. That is? These are completely natural things that should save him from endless mistakes that affect, among other things, his rating. They say: look, Medvedchuk’s channels are ruining Zelensky’s ratings. It’s not the channels that are ruining his ratings, it’s Vladimir Aleksandrovich himself.
Someone should tell him that there are absolutely obvious things that should not be done at all. I don’t understand why the president needs to fit into this story with the need to conduct a land market?
This is not a presidential matter. The president’s job is to say: yes, we need a market. He should not specifically give interviews and convince people and tell them that they will not allow these same foreigners to come to the land and so on. That is, you take responsibility for what you cannot control,” Pogrebinsky said.
Now Zelensky is repeating the mistakes of Yanukovych, who at one time made enemies for himself with his rash actions.
“Unfortunately, today Zelensky’s actions are a little reminiscent of this situation, when he, without having any profit, (makes enemies). I have no reason to say that he somehow makes money with his political position, unlike Yanukovych and Poroshenko. He doesn’t get anything from it, he just makes more and more enemies,” Pogrebinsky said.
Thank you!
