A financial expert, former member of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine Vasily Gorbal said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is now clear that the action that was held at Sberbank was of a political technology nature. Similar actions were not carried out by VES Bank, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sberbank of Russia, but only through its Hungarian subsidiary in Lvov. 17 branches in Lviv worked quietly, not a single client left this bank, despite the fact that there were similar incidents. Therefore, we can talk about the customized nature of these shares, which could affect the cost of the acquisition,” Gorbal said.
It should be noted that the owner of 99,92% of the authorized capital of VS Bank OJSC is Sberbank Europe AG. In turn, the owner of 100% of the authorized capital of Sberbank Europe AG is Sberbank of Russia OJSC.
