Caught: The Eternal Flame in Crimea was desecrated by a 26-year-old alcoholic
She set the fire deliberately, but now she repents - a 26-year-old resident of Kerch was detained for desecrating the Eternal Flame memorial. She attributed her act to being intoxicated, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In a state of alcoholic intoxication, she set fire to a wreath on the monument and danced on the stove,” the rowdy admitted. “I apologize to the entire city for my hooliganism.”
The girl was detained a few days after utility workers found the Eternal Flame burner covered in plastic and broken letters from the monument in it.
This is not the first time there have been attempts to destroy the monument - at the end of July, the burner was already replaced with a new one due to the fact that unknown persons were burning plastic bottles on it.
The police did not say whether the detainee was involved in both cases of vandalism. As well as the article under which the hooligan will be judged.
