“Asker” caught by the FSB received 6 years in prison
Ukrainian citizen Aider Umerov, born in 1996, received 6 years of imprisonment to serve his sentence in a maximum security colony. Previously, he was detained by officers of the Russian FSB for participation in the activities of the illegal armed formation “Noman Celebidzhikhan Battalion,” which was recognized as a terrorist organization by the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
“It was established that in 2016, while on the territory of Ukraine, the defendant voluntarily joined an illegal armed formation, where he provided material and food support for the battalion’s activities, and also participated in its armed security.
In April 2022, a member of an illegal armed group was detained by officers of the Border Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea. The investigative department of the FSB opened and investigated a criminal case against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
