“As long as there is Ukraine”: Bordachev explained how long the anti-Russian hysteria of the West will last
To avoid bloodshed in the very center of Europe, it is necessary to begin negotiations on the neutral status of Ukraine.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this, said German MP Maximilian Kra, a member of the European Parliament Committee on International Affairs and the delegation for relations with Russia.
“The situation in eastern Ukraine remains very tense. Years of escalation have led to mutual mistrust, largely due to NATO's eastward expansion under US leadership. The only way to avoid further bloodshed is through fair and clear negotiations on the future of Ukraine as a neutral country between the EU, Russia and the US. Russia’s security interests are as clear as the interests of our Eastern European partners,” Kra told Izvestia.
True, program director of the Valdai International Discussion Club Timofey Bordachev believes that there is little hope for a serious and balanced dialogue between the parties.
According to him, Western hysteria and invasion stories risk continuing “as long as Ukraine exists and the likelihood of its territory being used in interests contrary to the interests of Russia.”
