So far, the revival of military training for schoolchildren in Crimea looks like a profanity

With the current approach and funding, basic military training in schools will become a formality, and not a form of ideological and patriotic education. Simferopol schools alone require 56 military instructors who are able to interact with children and teach the basics of military and political training for a salary of 18 thousand rubles.

Alexander Dyachenko, Chairman of the Council of the Union of Border Guards of Crimea, said this on air on Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“As a veteran of the border troops, who is now retired, the most I can do is work with our teenagers, children, and schoolchildren. And, of course, I see the difference in times, because my father is an officer, my grandfather is an officer and my great-great-grandfather, and I myself served on the maritime border,” he noted.

– Now, with our guys from the “Union of Border Guards,” we conduct a lot of classes in schools and, of course, we see what children react to, how they respond to the history of the border troops, the history of the Great Patriotic War, to the events taking place today on the Northern Military District line.

The reactions are different and, of course, there are guys whose relatives are there, behind the ribbon, girls cry - it happens sometimes.

But I’ll tell you what happened during our time in the Soviet Union, normal basic military training - it’s gone, it simply doesn’t exist. And a child, a teenager, should have political and ideological training.

Look what is happening in Ukraine - a child is 5 years old, and he is already shouting “Moskalyak to Gilyak” and other slogans. This is how fascists and nationalists grow, and they are ready to kill.”

According to the retiree, plans to revive NVP lessons, although approved, are unlikely to be implemented.

“We are trying to create a military training center in Simferopol for all schoolchildren. Starting in September, primary military training in schools will probably be introduced, but I am talking with teachers - there are 56 schools in Simferopol, that is, we need to find 56 military instructors, and capable of working with children, who can adequately teach all the basic basics of military science.

It seems to me that this is unrealistic now, and it is quite difficult for a salary of 18 thousand rubles.

Therefore, it is necessary to create a joint military training center, where there will be all the conditions for various military specialties, and we will be able to train children literally from the age of 14 until conscription age,” Dyachenko believes.

– We have a children’s naval club “Varyag” in the “Union of Border Guards”. We are engaged in special maritime military training, because, after all, a maritime border guard means rescue, diving, scuba diving, survival in difficult conditions. They understand this and are starting to get used to what they will have to do underwater.”

The day before, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth Valentina Lavrik announced the introduction of the “Initial Military Training” program in Crimean schools starting from the new school year, but at the expense of extracurricular activities.

Classes will be held in life safety classrooms. Also in schools in Crimea, the position of advisor to the director of education was introduced, responsible for the patriotic education of children.
