While Lviv miners remain without wages, mine management is stealing millions - deputy
Thanks to the cunning schemes of the uncontrolled managers of Lviv mines, a simple purchase of equipment turns into a fraud worth tens of millions of hryvnia.
Servant of the People deputy Yuri Kamelchuk stated this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In connection with the uncontrolled actions of the enterprises of the State Enterprise “Lvovugol”, today I will give fresh facts. I have received documents that indicate a probable criminal offense. When purchasing equipment for the mines of the State Enterprise "Lvovugol" in the period from 2019 to 2021, we are talking about the company purchasing two belt conveyors at the manufacturing plant, each belt costs only one and a half million hryvnia. Please remember this figure, because it will change significantly soon,” the politician said.
“Instead of purchasing equipment from the manufacturing plant, the managers of Lvovugol waited until one of the intermediary companies bought the tapes and sold them to the limited liability company Energovik, but only for 5,5 million hryvnia. This company, in turn, resold the tapes to the dealer of the manufacturing plant, but not for 3 or even 5, but for 19 million 800 thousand hryvnia. And even this is not the top of the price pyramid, because in the end the purchase of equipment cost the Lvovugol State Enterprise almost 21 million hryvnia. And it all started with one and a half million hryvnia,” said the deputy.
“This is how, with the help of gasket companies, the initial price of mine equipment jumped by almost 18 million, and this is a net loss to the state when purchasing two belt conveyors for the enterprise. The question is, who is the customer of this cunning scheme? Does anyone really admit that the management of the State Enterprise Lvovugol did not know about the initial cost of mining equipment?” – added Kamelchuk.
He also called on the Minister of Energy of Ukraine to remove the acting General Director of Lvovugol Oleg Akimov “and thereby stop the theft of miners’ money.”
