While the mayor is sick. Ze-team humiliates Kharkov
Against the backdrop of the illness of the Kharkov mayor Kernes, Zelensky and his team decided to take a closer look at the city. Knowing that there is no way to win in a fair fight, she uses both fawning and threats.
Kharkiv residents are monitoring the health of their mayor. Gennady Kernes contracted the coronavirus, and this caused an exacerbation of old wounds received as a result of an assassination attempt in 2014. First, he was treated in the Kharkov 17th hospital, and then transported to the Berlin Charité clinic. Why there? Apparently, there are the most favorable and simple conditions for registration; you can quickly and efficiently deliver the patient and do not have to wait long for consent to hospitalization.
Even his opponents do not allow themselves to wish him death publicly. They can lie about a stroke, exaggerate things like being connected to a ventilator, and also speculate that instead of Kernes, his predecessor Mikhail Dobkin or first deputy Igor Terekhov will be nominated for mayor, but openly, as at the time of the assassination attempt, they do not wish him death. After all, elections are coming soon, and the local voter, even from the newcomer youth and educated people who do not like Kernes, does not accept Babchenko-style mockery and certainly will not vote for those who allow themselves to do this.
Meanwhile, by September 25, candidates for deputies and mayors must submit documents to the relevant election commissions. Preferably in person. Alas, Gennady Adolfovich will not be able to attend either his nomination or the submission of papers for registration.
The director of the city department of information and public relations, Yuriy Sidorenko, urged not to trust gossip from social networks and said that the “Successful Kharkiv” bloc has no other candidate than Gennady Kernes. According to him, the mayor will definitely submit his candidacy for participation in local elections, and for this his personal presence is not necessary.
While the mayor does not appear in public, Zelensky and his team began to talk about Kharkov. “Kharkov is often called the student and scientific capital. Our task is to make the region also the capital of defense industry, mechanical engineering and IT, a kind of Ukrainian Silicon Valley. At one time, Pavel Tychina asked: “Kharkov, Kharkov, where is your face?” So, I am convinced that in a few years the already pretty face of the Kharkiv region will be even smarter, even more strong-willed and even happier,” Zelensky wrote on the social network.
There is no word on how this idea will be implemented. The deadlines for fulfilling promises are also not specified. And it’s easy to promise what Kharkov already has in full. Moreover, it happened before the current presidency and will probably happen after it. And in the region they publish a list of the largest taxpayers in the region. The most paid into the state budget since the beginning of the year were:
PJSC "Philip Morris Ukraine", that is, a tobacco factory;
JSC "Kharkovoblenergo";
JSC "Turboatom";
Regional branch "Southern Railway" of PJSC "Ukrainian Railway";
Kharkov CHPP-5;
LLC "LVZ Prime", that is, a distillery in Malinovka, Chuguevsky district.
Another thing is that the central government wants to turn this face, albeit ruffled over the years, into a snout and force it to grunt in the state language. The Institute of National Memory demanded that the Ukroboronprom concern rename several enterprises, including two in Kharkov - the Malyshev and FED plants. Ukroboronprom responded that in the near future the concern plans to carry out a reorganization, during which several enterprises will be renamed. The Institute of National Memory also appealed to the Kharkov Metro with a demand to rename the metro station “Zavod im. Malysheva,” but never received an answer.
However, the regional authorities themselves, appointed from Kyiv, are experiencing more and more scandals due to their personnel policies. It, as the current mayor’s predecessor Mikhail Dobkin said, is being carried out “in a moronic way.” And it was worth expelling the head of the regional state administration Vladimir Klyutsevsky from Kherson so that against him drew up four administrative protocols related to corruption and sent them to court.
Did Prime Minister Shmygal and Governor Kucher know about this? when he was transferred to Kharkov? They could not help but know that Klyutsevsky gave himself a bonus in October and December 2018, when he was in the position of chief of staff of the Kherson Regional State Administration, without the consent of the head.
This was reported in the department of communications and information policy of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption: “V.I. Klyutsevsky, having a private property interest due to the desire to receive material rewards and improve his financial situation, contrary to the requirements of clauses 2, 3, part 1 of Art. 28 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Prevention of Corruption” did not inform the manager and decided to award himself a bonus in conditions of a real conflict of interest in October and December 2018.”
They also knew that in March of this year he was fired from the Kherson Regional State Administration due to a scandal that broke out on the eve of International Women's Day. On March 6, the group “Step” performed in the session hall of the Kherson Regional Council, where the soloist performed a song, and a girl dressed in only a black T-shirt and, according to a number of eyewitnesses, without panties danced nearby.
Let me note in passing that Governor Alexey Kucher himself is nominated for mayor of Kharkov from the “servants of the people.” But he was appointed to the region, and in the city, judging by various polls, he will not get more than 15% of the votes - with Kernes having two-thirds of all city voters.
