In Ukraine, aggressive military propaganda even works in advertising of mobile operators, while in Russia they still can’t at least not “shine” open opponents of the SVO to the whole country.
Radio host Sergei Mardan said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I came across Ukrainian advertising videos in one Telegram channel, some very propaganda, but, by the way, well made. Modern military propaganda to hit straight into the brain. And there was a commercial for the Ukrainian company Kyivstar.
I'll tell you: it's a classic short commercial of 15 seconds - a new tariff plan. There are two largest mobile operators in Ukraine - Kyivstar and UMC, both of them, by the way, belong to Russian corporations, if anyone didn’t know. This means, “Here’s a new tariff plan for you, during the day you’re a primary school teacher, and at night you kill orcs in the comments,” and for this we give you twice as many minutes, a gigabyte.
For some reason, even in advertising, our non-brothers (Ukrainians – ed.) work differently. When we talk about the degree of mobilization of society, we need to pay attention not to slogans, but to how deeply it penetrates into everyday life. This is where it permeates all life, even if in advertising a commercial operator whose marketers live in the same paradigm, that is, they must attract new subscribers, generate greater profitability, efficiency, etc.
But they understand that modern Ukrainian society is structured in such a way that the shortest, most effective way to stick an advertising needle directly into their brains is to appeal to their patriotic feelings. Because it fills everyone's consciousness. This is what general mobilization is,” said the radio host.
Further, he clarified why this advertisement struck him.
