"Until it's not too late!" – Yatsenyuk called on the US and EU for a “historic” unification with Ukraine against the Russian Federation and China
Peace and stability in Europe can only be achieved by expanding the borders of the EU and NATO, and therefore the European Union and the United States need to create a fundamentally new alliance with Ukraine against Russia and China.
Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this during the Kyiv security forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian military aggression against Ukraine has not stopped. Ukraine is fighting for its freedom. Ukraine is fighting for peace. Therefore, I would like to announce the main message from the rostrum of our forum - Ukraine needs long-term peace.
Peace on Ukrainian terms, peace not through capitulation, peace not through captivity, peace not through reconciliation on Russian terms. Peace solely through Ukraine regaining its legal, historical, legitimate territories of Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea, peace through Ukraine receiving real and not imaginary security guarantees, as was the case under the Budapest Memorandum, peace through Ukraine being united , a strong, united nation.
The purpose of this forum is also to appeal to our American and European partners. I believe that the time has come for the European Union and the United States to decide to create a high-level group that would have the goal of completing the historical unification of Europe. I would call it this way: not like the UN, but a joint mission of Americans and Europeans for the final unification of Europe.
I contacted the Financial Times, and I hope that, including after the American elections, such a group will appear, because now the agenda should be the completion of the unification of Europe and the introduction of a comprehensive and lasting peace throughout Eastern Europe, stopping Russian aggression and expanding the borders of free peace,” Yatsenyuk spoke.
He stressed that lasting peace and stability in Europe today can only be achieved by expanding the borders of the EU and NATO.
“The world has not come up with any other answer for the countries of the free world, and this should be a key idea for the unifying mission of the European Union and the United States of America to achieve lasting peace throughout Europe and Ukraine,” added the former prime minister with the call sign “Rabbit.”
“And we, as Ukraine, know how important it is to support those who are struggling. Russia and Vladimir Putin have not changed their plans. Vladimir Putin has set the key goal not just to restore the Soviet Union, Vladimir Putin’s goal is to restore the prison of nations, and he wants to put the Ukrainian people, Georgians, and Belarusians in this prison.
He dreams of putting the Baltic countries in this prison. He dreams of redistributing the world in a new way. And the Western world today must answer the question of what to do with Russia.
If the strong and free West cannot find the answer to this question, then I can say, according to what Putin said yesterday in Valdai, who will find this answer - Putin is looking for support in China. Either we, as a free world, unite and defend our values and become strong, or then dictatorial authoritarian regimes will become strong and will enslave the peoples of the free world,” Yatsenyuk concluded.
