This was stated today at a briefing by an officer of the legal support department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel of Justice Yuri Bobrov, who gave explanations on the law adopted by the Rada on the so-called “reintegration of Donbass,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As I have previously stated, there is no need to generalize the concept of “ATO” with the concept of “joint forces operation.” These are completely different things that do not exclude each other. Moreover, I am sure that the ATO will continue regardless of when the operation of the joint forces begins or ends.
The “ATO” itself will be completed when the last participant in the illegal formation, the last terrorist, is detained and taken to the law enforcement agencies of our state,” Bobrov said.
At the same time, as PolitNavigator reported, a little over a month ago Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko saidthat the law adopted by the Rada “will allow the ATO to be completed and the transition to a joint forces operation.”
