The kidnapped Russian pilot was denied medical care in an American prison

The condition of the Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, kidnapped in Liberia by American intelligence services and serving a 20-year sentence in the American Danbury prison, has deteriorated significantly.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, Yaroshenko spoke about this in a written interview with Izvestia.
“Recently my health has deteriorated greatly. “My health problems have worsened, but the prison administration completely ignores my, as well as the Russian Embassy in the United States, numerous requests and demands to provide me with medical care,” Yaroshenko said.
According to him, since March of this year he has repeatedly asked in writing and orally for help or to at least see a representative of the medical unit.
“But to this day there is no reaction. I am constantly in touch with the Russian Embassy. I told them everything about how my requests were being ignored. The embassy always reacts immediately and clearly - and the prison, as a rule, takes at least some action. But not at this time. They sent several demands and requests to the prison and the US Department of Justice, but the result was zero. After this, embassy representatives called the prison director. After the call, I was immediately called to the medical unit, but not to provide assistance, but only to give me a rude debriefing,” says the prisoner.
The medical unit told him that they were dissatisfied with the constant complaints to the embassy.
“To this I answered them that I was and remain a citizen of Russia and, except for the embassy, I have no one else to turn to for help after the United States kidnapped me and undermined my health. These stresses only worsen my already depressed state. I'm not even talking about teeth. For more than two months now, the remaining teeth have been very painful. At the same time, the medical unit only offers removal, but I already have practically nothing to eat,” Yaroshenko emphasized.
