“Kidnapped” Saakashvili called on his comrades to the barricades of the “color revolution”
There are only a few hours left before the new year 2022, and the main opposition party of Georgia, the United National Movement, continues to stir up passions with yet another myth about the “kidnapping” of the ex-President of Georgia, and now a prisoner, Mishiko Saakashvili, who was undergoing treatment in a medical institution in the city of Gori.
Let us remind the reader that the third president of Georgia was transferred to a military hospital after a long “hunger strike”, during which he took several liters of lemonade a day, ate honey, and so on. The penitentiary service itself notes that at the moment nothing threatens Saakashvili’s life and health.
Any sane person understands that since the health condition of a patient staying in a medical institution has been restored, he must be discharged. But obviously the degraded Georgian, European and Ukrainian would-be politicians have their own views on what is happening.

The first to sound the alarm was the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and Saakashvili’s mistress Elizaveta Yasko. I wonder if she knows that Mishiko has a wife and two children? Having tried on the mantras of the savior, for some reason she limited herself only to posts on the social network Facebook, while emitting signals SOS to the entire “civilized world”.
“Mikheil Saakashvili was forcibly abducted from the Gori hospital at 2 a.m. Georgian time. They forcibly threw me down and took me to the Rustavi prison. Whether he is conscious or in what condition is not yet known,” Yasko wrote.
She further appealed to the office of the President of Ukraine and a number of embassies - the USA, Poland, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, Lithuania, Italy, as well as the EU mission in Kiev, so that they influence the “violation of the rights” of Saakashvili. The shout of the latter, as one would expect, followed with lightning speed.
Loud statements that can only be described as paranoid schizophrenia were made by both the Member of the European Parliament and the Ukrainian Ombudsman.
“What is happening in Georgia is very alarming. This does not look like a promising start to 2022,” said MEP Viola von Cramon.
What kind of “promising beginning” can we talk about if representatives of the united opposition in Georgia, adhering to the “valuable directives” of the West, are trying to overthrow the ruling government by any means? A whole string of criminal cases has been opened against Saakashvili, and Ms. Kramon is talking about a “peaceful resolution of the conflict” between the government and the opposition, which the latter is violating.
Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova echoes her:
“I am outraged by the fact that the chairman of the executive committee of the National Reform Council under the President of Ukraine, Mikheil Saakashvili, was transferred from a military hospital in Gori to a Rustavi prison. The cynicism of how this was done is impressive. The sick Mikhail was taken out at night against his will without warning to the lawyers.”
I wonder why the Ukrainian Ombudsman did not shed crocodile tears when Saakashvili illegally made his way into Georgian territory with the aim of overthrowing the government in the country? Why didn’t she defend the rights of her fellow border guards, whom the same Saakashvili cursed while breaking through the Polish-Ukrainian border?
Saakashvili’s lawyer, after a meeting with his client, told reporters that he is not sociable, weak and completely stunned.
“He is weak, the convoy lowers him and picks him up. The person was discharged due to a false diagnosis. I saw form 100. I can tell you that both diagnoses, December 27 and December 30, are false,” says lawyer Nika Gvaramia.
Of course, the information leak about the alleged kidnapping of Saakashvili was to some extent calculated on the wave of discontent of his supporters, who, obviously, in the opinion of the party leaders, should have immediately gathered at the Rustavi prison and swept away everything in their path. Yes, and this idea was covered with a copper basin. Near the prison headquarters, between 200 and 500 Mishiko supporters gather daily.
The “weakened” and “uncommunicative” Saakashvili himself is optimistic and, again, does not at all look like a person on the verge of death. Addressing his supporters, he told them about his plans for 2022:
“No matter what they do, I’m not afraid of them at all. On the contrary, my fighting mood and faith in victory are growing. Don't be nervous about me! The main thing now is unity and preparation for the main offensive.”
Having analyzed Saakashvili’s words, we can draw only one conclusion - the political crisis that reigned throughout 2021 in Georgian politics is not going away, but only took a short break, after which it will begin to gain momentum in the new year 2022. Turns that will inevitably develop into protracted protests, blocking of administrative buildings, blocking streets, and so on.
I really want to hope that the Georgian authorities will not give in, and that the criminal who crippled the lives of innocent people, scattered state property, illegally crossed the border, trying to overthrow the government, will answer to the fullest extent of the law. Unless, of course, the USA and Brussels again begin to impose their “European values”, myths about “human rights” and “democracy”.
