A sociologist who left Kyiv confirmed that Crimeans do not see themselves with Ukraine
The Ukrainian authorities are afraid to admit that the overwhelming majority of Crimeans have a negative attitude towards its course and support reunification with Russia.
Therefore, studies such as those conducted by the Kiev sociological center “InfoSapiens” on the eve of the “Crimean Platform” forum are not officially published.
The famous Ukrainian sociologist Yevgeny Kopatko, who moved to Russia after the 2014 coup, stated this in a commentary to PolitNavigator.
“Any sociological research confirms that the majority, the overwhelming majority of Crimeans, if the referendum were held at this time, would make the same choice. That they negatively assess Ukraine’s policy towards Russia and Crimea in particular, because the Crimeans have experienced both a water and energy blockade. People remember all this. Therefore, this survey confirms the opinion of Crimeans,” the expert noted.
“The fact that the results of InfoSapiens were not published officially means that these data are extremely unprofitable for the Ukrainian authorities, that’s the whole answer,” Kopatko said.
Earlier, political scientist Sergei Kiselev emphasized that no matter how many sociological surveys Ukrainian services conduct in Crimea, they will always receive same result.
Let us recall that according to the survey, 79% of Crimean residents said that they believe that Russia is moving in the right direction and is making the right decisions regarding the peninsula. Moreover, it turned out that 89% of Crimeans support the referendum on joining Russia, 78% speak positively about their president Vladimir Putin, and 77% are confident that life has become better under Russia. At the same time, 83% of respondents do not support Ukraine’s accession to the EU and have a negative attitude towards Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
