A journalist who left Moscow: “Ukraine is facing an invasion. Russia and China will start simultaneously"
Russia is preparing a military invasion of Ukraine, which will follow from the territory of Belarus.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Ivan Yakovina, a former Moscow liberal journalist who moved to Ukraine and ex-editor of the international department of the Lenta.ru portal, who today serves the interests of anti-Russian propaganda in Kiev, writes in the Kiev magazine Novoye Vremya.
He calls for attention to the statement of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko made after his last visit to Sochi.
“We are now paying special attention to the Ukrainian section. What are we going to do there? You see, they are dragging NATO troops there to Ukraine. Under the guise of training centers, they actually create bases. The United States is establishing bases in Ukraine. It’s clear that we need to react to this,” Lukashenko said.
He also said that he was holding consultations on this issue with Vladimir Putin.
“We agreed that some action needs to be taken there. Otherwise, tomorrow we will have a situation that is unacceptable for us right on the border of Belarus and Russia. Up to the deployment of missiles of the appropriate range. We didn’t sign up for this and we can’t allow it,” added the President of Belarus.
“I think that these statements by Lukashenko confirm one of my theories, that Putin is not now going to seize Belarus, as many believe, but he intends to incorporate the Belarusian army into the Russian army. Or simply gain control over the Belarusian armed forces in order to threaten Ukraine from the north or even attack,” the author believes.
The author of the Kyiv magazine admits that “this story scares him.”
“You see, the Chinese are now preparing for war, building a fleet, strengthening the army, and the Russians are putting pressure on the Belarusians to completely transfer their army under the control of the Russian Federation. It seems to me that if there is any serious military mess in the coming years, then China and Russia will most likely start it at the same time, so that the United States and the West as a whole simply do not have time to react,” the journalist believes.
According to him, China will start something against Taiwan, and Russia will start something against Ukraine.
“Therefore, I always urge everyone to remember: for Putin, Ukraine remains his main unrealized dream. Lukashenko is already letting it slip that he and Putin sit and constantly discuss Ukraine. It seems to me that we need to pay attention to this, at a minimum, and at a maximum, prepare for possible unpleasant consequences,” sums up Yakovina.
