Russia should be more active in the Donbass - give citizenship to all residents and recognize the LDPR. Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Natalya Poklonskaya stated this in an interview with the YouTube channel “First Project,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For residents of Donbass this is a necessity. Today, children there who have a birth certificate from the LPR and DPR cannot receive free medical care either in Ukraine or in Russia. They were left behind in life. In the entire region there is not a single ophthalmology office, there is no pediatric surgeon. Children in need of help are not citizens of either Ukraine or Russia. They are thrown away. They are hostages of the political situation. Russia must be more active, give everyone citizenship and recognize the LDPR,” Poklonskaya said.
She believes that Russia should not be afraid of foreign policy difficulties and pressure in this matter.
“Russia needs Ukraine, and Ukraine incredibly needs Russia. We are one people. It is impossible to think that Ukraine is a separate state with a separate culture and history. We have a common faith, common traditions, we have a lot of relatives. We are proud of the exploits of our common ancestors. People understand this. I hope that everything will work out and Ukraine will become a prosperous country. But normal Ukraine. This is the outskirts of Russia, this is Russia. I don’t see the existence of Ukraine outside of Russia, it cannot exist, it is not needed,” Poklonskaya said.
