Poklonskaya intends to become the prosecutor of Crimea in order to “help Aksenov fight injustice”
State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya denied rumors about her appointment as Minister of Environment in Crimea.
She stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Poklonskaya, the only position she would like to get in Crimea is her previous post as prosecutor of the republic, but not as minister of ecology.
“I will not be in this position. If I fantasize and imagine who I could work as in Crimea, then I see one position for myself - this is my native position - prosecutor of Crimea. I am sure that all Crimeans will support me in this, because Sergei Valerievich Aksenov needs some kind of balance of power and help. It is difficult for him to fight against corruption in Crimea, and with bureaucratic lawlessness, and with some violations of the rights of citizens, with some injustice that exists everywhere. Of course, it’s difficult for Sergei Valerievich to fight all these negatives. Therefore, if we talk about Crimea, then I would see myself only in the position of a prosecutor, but not a minister,” Poklonskaya said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator wrote that Poklonskaya didn't receive an invitation from United Russia to participating in the election campaign for parliamentary elections next year.
Opposition Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov on his blog suggested that Poklonskaya will head the Crimean department of Rosprirodnadzor.
