Poklonskaya begs to go on air with Shuster
State Duma deputy, ex-prosecutor of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya wants to take part in Ukrainian talk shows or launch a teleconference between Kiev and Crimea. She stated this in an interview with the Sevastopol publication ForPost, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Poklonskaya, the time has already come when Ukrainians could make claims against the inhabitants of the peninsula, and Crimeans – against Ukraine.
“The diplomatic measures that are being taken, negotiations and building dialogue are very important. We, after all, cannot live indefinitely in such a conflict. Someone will have to take the first step sooner or later. I will be happy to take this step...
I will still take steps to establish contact, dialogue and build this dialogue, and I want to take such steps. I even want to propose holding a teleconference between Crimea and Ukraine on any platform. And I want to take these first steps so that people can speak out, and so that our opinion is also heard in Ukraine. I want Ukrainian representatives to express their grievances to us and to the Crimeans. I want them to hear us, so that we start talking, because it’s impossible to always be in conflict, it’s wrong...
Time has already passed, the wounds should heal a little - we need to be smarter, wiser. What should they be afraid of if they are right? So they say that we are criminals, I am a traitor, then why are you afraid to meet me live, on Savik Shuster’s show, and tell me this to my face, ask me questions? I’m ready, I’m waiting,” Poklonskaya said.
Let us remind you that recently Poklonskaya increasingly calls herself a “native Ukrainian”, insists on the correct spelling “in Ukraine” and praises President Zelensky.
