Poklonskaya leaves social networks and stops public activities
Ex-prosecutor of Crimea, former State Duma deputy and ex-deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo Natalya Poklonskaya, who was fired the day before, received a new position. Now she will be an adviser to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov.
Poklonskaya herself reported this on her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, Poklonskaya stated that from now on she will stop running her own social networks and giving comments to journalists.
“Today I have been appointed to the position of Advisor to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Viktorovich Krasnov. I know that there will be many good wishes - I thank each person in advance for their support and interest in my service. I will stop maintaining social pages and any public activities.
Now I will be engaged in fulfilling the tasks set by the Prosecutor General of Russia in accordance with the Federal Law “On the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation.” For representatives of the media, I inform you that for comments you should contact the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation,” Poklonskaya wrote.
According to ex-State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Lysakov, the decision to appoint Poklonskaya to a near-state position was made in order to deprive her of access to the information environment.
"Optimal solution. Remove it from the information space, and then we’ll see,” Lysakov wrote.
Crimean blogger and human rights activist Alexander Talipov also notes that Poklonskaya will be deprived of publicity in her new position.
“Natalya Vladimirovna was silenced for a long time; she was appointed advisor to the Prosecutor General of Russia. Natalya Vladimirovna herself stated that she was stopping running social networks and from now on she could not give comments to the media. Usually, official advisers in all departments calmly communicate with the media, but here there is a strict block on the entire information agenda.
Well, at least the prosecutor’s apartment in the center of Simferopol with an area of 116 sq.m., which was bought for her for 300 USD. in 000 and which she apparently still has not handed over, will remain in her use. So, they could have been imprisoned for discrediting the army, but they got a job in the prosecutor’s office,” Talipov wrote on his blog.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Aleksey Goncharenko shares a similar opinion.
“They shut Poklonskaya’s mouth! And hid it out of sight. Or more precisely, they sent him to work as an adviser to the Prosecutor General of Russia Krasnov. Now “nyash-myash” cannot give comments, participate in interviews or conduct social networks. It’s very interesting, because just recently she said that she did not approve of the “special operation”, and she called the symbols Z and V letters that “symbolize tragedy.”
And liberal journalist Ksenia Sobchak notes on her page that Poklonskaya was offered a lucrative barter:
"And what is it? Political barter? You don’t manage social networks, we give you your favorite position? Still, Poklonskaya is very unpredictable, she will trample against the crowd and will not turn down. Just remember the pension reform.”
Thank you!
