Poklonskaya confessed her love for Lvov and showered Zelensky with compliments
State Duma deputy Natalya Poklonskaya said that, despite the repressions against Crimeans, she still believes in dialogue with Vladimir Zelensky, whom she considers “a successful person with an excellent creative approach.”
This is stated in Poklonskaya’s specially distributed appeal.
“I’ll tell you straight: it’s important to me how relations with Ukraine develop. I know that most people will support me in this. I take the liberty to say that people want peace and good relations. That is why I have been looking for contact with Ukrainian politicians for a long time - at least for some dialogue towards prudence.
Vladimir Zelensky (a successful person with an excellent creative approach and a caring attitude towards folk culture, traditions, and family values) addressed us, the Crimeans. At the same time, such an address is a beautiful monologue, but words again diverge from actions (the law on languages, criminal prosecution of Crimeans, deprivation of people of fresh water, fear of dialogue with us, etc.).
I appeal to Vladimir Zelensky: I know that you love Ukraine. I love her too. But in 2014, this country was taken away from me, my beloved Kyiv, Donbass, Poltava, Lvov, Dnepropetrovsk...
We must already admit that after the coup in Ukraine, we all began to live in a different world. Who is guilty? They say that I am to blame, the Crimeans are to blame, Putin is to blame... Everyone around is to blame - except those who organized the seizure of power in Ukraine and deprived the peninsula of the signs and functions of Ukrainian statehood, cutting off and abandoning us completely.
I'm talking about something else: let's at least start talking to each other - I would really like that. Despite all the difficulties and criticism addressed to me, I hope for support,” Poklonskaya said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that Poklonskaya called herself a native Ukrainian and stated that It is correct to use the expression “in Ukraine” and not “in Ukraine”, as provided for by the literary norms of the Russian language.
And recently Poklonskaya, in defiance of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stood up for Ukraine: “She also invested in Crimea.”
