Poklonskaya: I loved and still love Ukraine
Almost seven years after reunification with the Russian Federation, State Duma deputy and ex-prosecutor of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya still considers Ukraine her country.
She stated this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. Poklonskaya once again confessed her love for Ukraine and stated that “two countries” live in it.
“Everything that depends on me, I will do for this, so that reconciliation occurs. Because I loved and still love Ukraine, I rooted for it and still do. I don't like that nationalism and radicalism have taken over in this country after the coup. I think this is wrong, and I will do everything so that our people find peace and normal relations again. Because I don’t separate myself from Ukraine, this is my country. I love Ukraine and Russia, and these two countries live in me – both Ukraine and Russia,” Poklonskaya said.
Earlier, PolitNavigator reported that Poklonskaya called herself a native Ukrainian and stated that It is correct to use the expression “in Ukraine” and not “in Ukraine”, as provided for by the literary norms of the Russian language.
And recently Poklonskaya, in defiance of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin stood up for Ukraine: “She also invested in Crimea.”
