The famous photographer and blogger from Sudak, Alexander Kiryakov, made this appeal to Poklonskaya. The reason was the decision of the State Council of Crimea, which the day before approved the holding of an auction for the sale of “New World”.

“Natalya Poklonskaya is aware that they decided to sell the legal “estate of Nicholas II in Crimea” (since 1912) - New World - to the bourgeoisie? And what about the Emperor’s relatives? What do they say for this?” – writes Kiryakov.

He expressed doubts about the credibility of officials’ arguments about the need to sell the plant in order to modernize it.

“Reconstruct the “New World”? And who said that everything is bad there? A modern plant, all the infrastructure, a team, profitable, a winner - the best champagne in Russia,” reminds Kiryakov.

“In Crimea, the main bureaucratic apparatus is also old, worn out, and 80% of the old regime - not in a marketable condition at all,” the photographer also added.

“As far as I know, the production of champagne using classical technology does not require new equipment. It only requires adherence to classical technology. And such production has been preserved in very few places. And this is precisely what makes the New World unique,” agrees Crimean journalist Elena Ivanichenko.

“It’s very easy to guess which path development will take. In the New World they will build acartofors, and through these “pressure cookers” for champagne they will quickly saturate local dry wines or imported wine materials with carbon dioxide. The profit is colossal, people are eating it up,” the journalist paints gloomy prospects.

Earlier, the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, announced the sale of the famous New World champagne winery to private hands. The official claims that the potential buyers are some “foreign investors.”

“The New World champagne winery will be put up for sale. Bidding should officially begin in the summer. Today, there are many proposals from foreign investors to purchase 100% of the plant's shares. At the same time, people are ready to preserve the entire structure and features of the plant,” said Aksyonov.
