The assassination attempt on the mayor of Lvov and the murder of the mayor of Kremenchug are a terrorist act, - Ministry of Internal Affairs
Kyiv, July 26 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The investigation into the murder of the mayor of Kremenchug Oleg Babaev and the shelling of the house of the mayor of Lvov Andrei Sadovoy was placed under special control by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.

Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko reported this on his Facebook page.
According to Gerashchenko, Babaev put on a tracksuit in the morning, took a bag of garbage and, forgetting his mobile phones at home, drove out of his house in the private sector in his Mercedes S 500.
Then, according to eyewitnesses, he stopped to throw away a bag of garbage. A white VAZ 2108 car stopped nearby, from which three shots were fired from a weapon with a silencer. Oleg Babaev died on the spot from his injuries.
In the Poltava region and neighboring regions, a plan to intercept “Siren” was announced in connection with the incident.
The police ask all Kremenchu residents who were random witnesses to the murder of Oleg Babaev to urgently report everything they saw by calling 102.
So far, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has not connected the shelling of Andrei Sadovoy’s house with the murder of Babaev.
“There are no facts that attempts on the lives of two mayors of large cities in Ukraine were planned and organized simultaneously. Most likely, these crimes are in no way connected with each other,” -. noted Gerashchenko.
As Navigator reported, Oleg Babaev was shot dead on the morning of July 26 in Kremenchug. On the night of July 26, Andrei Sadovoy’s house in Lviv was shelled from a grenade launcher.
