Heads rolled: Poroshenko began to fire those responsible for the failure with the “Tomos”
Petro Poroshenko dismissed from his post the deputy head of the presidential administration Rostislav Pavlenko, who was called in the media one of the ideologists of the PR campaign around the petition to the Patriarch of Constantinople to grant a “tomos” of an independent Ukrainian Church that would become independent from Moscow.
Former Minister of Economic Development of Ukraine Viktor Suslov said this on NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As for the tomos, I think that now Poroshenko understands that all this was overrated. Maybe Pavlenko promised him to solve this problem, being deputy head of the presidential administration. He (Poroshenko - ed.) believed, got involved, because Pavlenko’s dismissal was really not accidental and was connected with the failure of this tomos,” Suslov noted.
It should be noted that after his resignation, Pavlenko was appointed head of the Institute for Strategic Studies - this body prepares analytics for the presidential office.
