“This is a policy of unilateral concessions, and if Ukraine follows this path, it will come to the result that Mazepa came to in his time - defeat,” he said.
Stetskiv explained that the main threat is the consolidation of the “special status” of Donbass in the new Constitution of Ukraine.
“This is an unconstitutional norm imposed by Putin. He is promoting it through both Minsk agreements in order to push the bombed Donbass back to Ukraine, consolidate its “special status” and, with the help of this, disunite the Ukrainian state in order to gain the right to “veto” the European course and, through obligations to finance the occupied territories, disrupt Ukraine’s internal reserves.” , says the Ukrainian politician.
“We cannot accept such shameful conditions for ourselves - it is easier to cut off Donbass from Ukraine, because otherwise we will let Putin into our internal politics,” Stetskiv fears.
