Maidan field commander: Zelensky is not turning in the Russian direction
Vladimir Zelensky is repeating the trick of his predecessor Leonid Kuchma, who was elected to his first term thanks to the votes of residents of the South-East, and then, having deceived his voters, began to position himself as a pro-Western politician, focusing, accordingly, on the electorate of Western Ukraine.
Taras Stetskiv, a Lvov politician and field commander of Maidan 2004, stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The dynamics of his turnaround are obvious to me. It turns not in the Russian direction. He turns closer to here. Maybe it will get stuck in the middle, maybe it will fail, but so far sociology only confirms that the reversal is coming here, I said this in your studio in January of this year, when the first signal was given. The question now is whether this dynamic will establish itself as a course, as a conscious politician – it is not yet clear,” Stetskiv said.
Earlier, one of the ideologists of the Servant of the People party, a member of the presidential faction Nikita Poturaev, boasted that Zelensky managed to win the sympathy of nationalists and turn into a fighter against everything Russian.
