“We are developing training centers here. It was my request to you that we create centers here for the latest weapons. We are ready to create more centers in order to master both air defense systems and the latest weapons that are being created today in Russia. Again, it is critically important for us to master them and be able to use them,” Lukashenko said.

Currently, there is one training center in Belarus, and two more, in which Belarusians study, are open in Russia. Many experts believe that these facilities are a replacement for Russian military bases, which the Belarusian president refuses to open.

Today he advocated training his army from the Russians and linked this with the need to neutralize the threat posed by Ukraine.

“Today, unfortunately, we are opening the southern direction. There's no getting around this. We are forced to strengthen the border with Ukraine. Your help here is important, your military specialists will help us identify the most painful points in this direction in order to create this defense on our southern borders without extra costs. This is also important for the Russian Federation. Therefore, talk about war - not war, and so on... They will get it - they will get it. That's the whole war. I talked about this recently. We don't need someone else's. God grant that we master ours – from Brest to Vladivostok,” Lukashenko said.

He believes that Russian support “has a cooling effect on the heads of some of our so-called neighbors who are now trying to run ahead of the locomotive.”

“They are straining the situation, pushing us to respond (there have already been several provocations to which we could have responded armed). They understand that if we respond, then Russia will be drawn into this. We are patient for now. But they constantly provoke. Therefore, thank you very much for always supporting us and responding to our requests. We will not remain in debt,” Lukashenko said.
