This was reported in the communications sector of the National Police in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
“Video cameras recorded the silhouette of a person who planted explosives under the building of the Stepan Bandera Museum in the village of Stary Ugryniv,” the communications sector reported.
According to their information, the explosion occurred at about 4 a.m. on February 15. It was committed using an incendiary pipe. The police began criminal proceedings under Art. 4 tbsp. 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism) and part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition and explosive devices). Now law enforcement officers are carrying out search activities to identify the person who planted the explosives.
It is known that part of the wall and plastic windows in the Bandera Museum building were damaged. Also, law enforcement officers discovered that the doors of the museum had been doused with an unknown substance. The museum exhibits are not damaged.
It is interesting that the police in the hottest regions usually do not show such efficiency and zeal in cases where vandals destroy Soviet-era memorials, including those dedicated to the heroes of the Second World War.
